Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation offers First Aid Certification Course

First Aid, a certified course meeting guidelines of OSHA and DHS will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. on May 20 . Skills include management of bleeding, shock, burns, dislocations, fractures, splinting, head/neck injury, and medical emergencies. Upon successful completion, the Heartsaver First Aid two-year certification card is issued. This course is $24 if registered by April 29, after that the fee increases to $26 with a final deadline of May 13.

This class requires preregistration and is being held at the Gamber Center located at 4 SE Independence Avenue in Lee’s Summit. Registration may be done online at lsparks.net or by calling Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation at 816-969-1500.
