Political signs causing too much clutter

April 9, 2014

Dear Editor,

Concerning the topic of removing political yard signs and those signs for/against ballot questions, I consider those within a residential yard to be legitimate expressions of support, and I think they should be left alone.

However, all signs that are located in the city right-of way, in medians between lanes, and in the middle of traffic circles, I consider all of those to be litter, and I treat them accordingly in trying to keep the city looking neat and orderly. I treat all signs the same whether or not I’m for or against their subject. I feel the same way about people posting signs offering their personal or business services in the city right of way especially at major intersections. Those, too, are litter and I treat them the same way.
