BASEBALL

APRIL 9: LEE ’S SUMMIT WEST 5 TRUMAN 0: Alex lange threw a complete game shut out for the Titans, giving up two hits and one walk while striking out nine. Grayson Handel was three-for-three with a triple and scored twice while Carson Pickard had two hits and an RBI.

APRIL 7: LEE ’S SUMMIT WEST 10, PARK HILL 0: Connor Lyon threw four shutout innings for the Titans in their five-inning victory. Alex Lange had two singles and Ben Peterson had two hits and 2 RBIs.

APRIL 3-5: MIDWEST CLASSIC: Lee’s Summit West placed third after beating Vianny 5-4 in the suburban St. Louistournament. The Titans beat Frances Howell Central 9-5, Westminster 5-4 and Fort Zumwalt South 10-2 before falling to Frances Howell 8-7 in the semifinals. Alex Lange and Monte Harrison were selected to the all-tournament team.
