Dickinson donating to special needs children

April 23, 2014

Dickinson Theatres is dedicating the month of May to raise money for families in the Kansas City area with special needs children.

The chain operates the Eastglen 16, 1451 NE Douglas St, in Lee’s Summit. It is offering two movie deals, which are available at all of its locations: a $1 popcorn bag, and a $3 limited edition gold Darth Vader pin by Variety Children’s Charity of Greater Kansas City. Sales on the exclusive items will be donated to Variety.

Dickinson Theatres will be making the donations May 1-31 during blockbuster season that includes The Amazing Spiderman 2, Godzilla, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Maleficent staring Angelina Jolie, all hitting the big screen that month.

Lee's Summit Journal is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
