Titans’ Harrison to play in Grindhouse basketball game

April 25, 2014

Monte Harrison of Lee’s Summit West will be one of several Division-I athletes taking part in the Grindhouse Basketball All-American Game on May 3 at Lee’s Summit High School.

Harrison, who has signed to play football and baseball at Nebraska, will play on the same 12-player team as Clayton Custer, an Iowa State signee from Blue Valley (Kan.) Northwest, Zach Brown, a Wichita State recruit and Tum Tum Harris, who is signed with Michigan State.

Grindhouse Basketball is a player development program run by Marcus Walker, a two-time DiRenna Award winner at O’Hara High School in 2004 and 2005. Walker went on to play at Nebraska, Colorado State and professionally in Europe.

Tickets for the game are $20 and the doors will open at 6 p.m.
