Three Lee’s Summit R-7 School District principals were honored April 23 by the Greater Kansas City Missouri Principals Association for outstanding service to their schools.

Recognized administrators are David Sharp, Lee’s Summit West High School principal who was named High School Principal of the Year; David Carlson, Summit Lakes Middle School principal, selected as Middle School Principal of the Year; and Jeff Meisenheimer, Lee’s Summit North High School principal who was named Exemplary New Principal of the Year.

All three were honored before the Greater Kansas City organization at an April 23 banquet. Recognized educators are nominated by their peers within their own school districts and by colleagues from throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Sharp and Carlson will advance to a state level recognition program through the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals.
