Growing with students

April 30, 2014

Devin Wetzel of Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation and Kim Fritchie (not pictured) of the Lee’s Summit Beautification Commission took Dogwood and Pine trees to Pleasant Lee Elementary April 21 to give to each of the kindergarteners to take home and plant. The students had been involved in Earth Day activities with their teachers. Wetzel and Fritchie spoke with the students about the trees and how and where to plant them, so they can enjoy them for years to come.
