SCA’s junior high choir earns double honor

Summit Christian Academy’s Junior High Choir recently participated in the Midwest Christian Schools Academic and Fine Arts Festival at Blue Ridge Christian School and the Festival of Music at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City.

The choir’s performance at both events received unanimous ratings of (I) and for the third year in a row, the choir won first place in their division at Worlds of Fun.

SCA eighth-grade Madelyn Mahurin received a (I) rating at the Midwest Christian Schools Academic and Fine Arts Festival for her vocal solo.

Six junior high schools in the region participated in the festival, including two schools from Wichita and Columbia.
