Noon, First Presbyterian Church of Lee’s Summit, 1625 NW O’Brien Road – Is someone’s drinking causing you problems? Come to Al-Anon and join friends and family of alcoholics. The group meets weekly at noon on Mondays and 7:30 p.m. Thursdays.

Compulsive Eaters Anonymous HOW

5:30 p.m. Mondays, First Presbyterian Church, 1625 NW O’Brien Road.

GriefShare

6:30-8 p.m., First Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit, 2 NE Douglas Street, in ADM-139 – This is a 13-week seminar and support group for those who have lost loved ones and/or friends through death. Each weekly GriefShare session will include a video seminar featuring top experts and a support group discussion with a focus. For additional information, please contact First Baptist Church at 816-525-0700. The cost is $15 for first timers and free for alumni.

8:30 a.m., First Baptist Church, 2 NE Douglas Street – Lee’s Summit Tops club meets every Tuesday morning at 8:30 am at the annex building behind First Baptist Church. Helping Hands of the Willing Workers

1 p.m., Longview Chapel Christian Church, 850 SW Longview Road – Join a weekly group that makes crafts and sews for the benefit of the church. The Helping Hands make items throughout the year to earn money for the building fund and make cheer baskets for the homebound. The group invites anyone looking for fellowship, fun and those who enjoy creating items, to join them. The group furnishes all supplies and is always looking for new ideas. Melanie Grace Kickin’ Against Cancer

4 p.m., Lee’s Summit High School Soccer Complex – In 2007, the LSHS women’s soccer team began benefit commemorating a young girl’s battle to kick cancer, honoring her memory by selecting a Kansas City metro area individual facing his/her own cancer battle to be the recipient of monies generated by the event.

Lee’s Summit Downtown Rotary Club

4:45 p.m., Lee’s Summit Firefighters Union Hall, 322 SE Douglas St. – The club’s mission is to meet the charitable needs of the local community and participate in worldwide humanitarian causes by utilizing the energy and dedication of its members. Kiwanis Club

6 p.m., Lakeside Dining Room at John Knox Village – The Kiwanis invite you to join them as they volunteer their time to serving the children of the world. The Lee’s Summit chapter of the Kiwanis are dedicated to service projects including sponsoring little league baseball and softball teams, assisting with Hope House, providing scholarships and other projects. Core restore for mothers

6:30-8:30 p.m., Summit Strength Physical Therapy, LLC, 800 NW Main St. – is a unique class taught to women. The class is taught by Amanda Fisher, PT, DPT, a women’s health physical therapist at Summit Strength Physical Therapy. Core Restore educates women on their anatomy/ physiology and looks at the importance of low back, pelvis and pelvic floor muscles.

Restoration Road Recovery group

6:30 p.m., 212 NE Main St. – A Christ based ministry called Restoration Road recovery group that meets to help those who are struggling with addiction, abuse, loss, abandonment, sexual abuse, un-forgiveness and other life destructive situations.
