Water photo contest offers passes to Summit Waves

May 7, 2014

Water is a valuable resource, playing an essential role in the quality and safety of our lives.

We drink, bathe, play, cook, clean, and garden with it. Water keeps our families, pets and homes safe. May 4-11 is Drinking Water Week and Lee’s Summit Water Utilities encourages you to celebrate the importance of safe, reliable drinking water by showing us how you use water. The Water Utilities department is sponsoring a photo contest and winners will receive passes to Summit Waves Water Park, donated by Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation.

#MyLSwater–Photo Contest is a social-media based contest sponsored by the water utilities department. The page can be found through the city’s Facebook page at facebook.com/cityofls. Or share photos via Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #MyLSwater. Photos also can be submitted by email to Miranda.landstra@cityofl

s.net.

Include your full name, a short description of the photo and your contact information either within the caption or through email. All photos submitted may be used in Lee’s Summit Water Utilities’ online and print publications. Contest ends May 31. For more information go to LSwater.net or contact Miranda Landstra at 816-969-1921.

Lee's Summit Journal is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
