WESLEY ALLEN WEHMEIR
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Wesley Wehmeir, 86, died peacefully May 6, with his wife and children by his side. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents Gracie and Fred Wehmeir. He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Frances (Lucille) Wehmeir; daughter Lisa (Michelle) Smith and her husband Richard; son Mike Wehmeir and wife Brenda; and four grandchildren: Alexandria, Logan, Christian and Caleb. Wesley also leaves his brother Bill Wehmeir and his wife Marie, and his sister Vera Buell, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Wesley was born in Tipton, Mo. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He retired after 37 years as an assembler from the GM Fairfax Plant in Kansas City, Kan. Wesley loved his family and friends, and he enjoyed fishing, tinkering, lawn work and gardening, bird watching, traveling, good jokes and surprises, and a lot of homemade ice cream. He was also a hard worker, an avid helper, and a generous giver.

The family is thankful for the expert and steadfast care provided by Dr. Nancy Birenboim, Dr. Matthew Deedy, and Dr. Richard Hellman. They are also especially thankful for the kind care provided by John Knox Village House. Wesley lived over 28 years with diabetes thanks to diligent and loving care of his loving wife Lucille.
Wesley was a long-time member of the Fellowship at Greenwood Church. The family will be receiving visitors from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on May 9, at the church. Wesley’s funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on May 10, also at the church. Graveside services and burial will be at 4 p.m. at Enloe Cemetery in Russellville, Mo.
