SCA student named academic all-American

Summit Christian Academy senior Josiah Ruiz Esparza has been awarded the National Forensic League’s Academic All-American Award.

The award is given to seniors who have competed in the NFL while maintaining academic excellence.

In order to be considered for the Academic All-American Award, students must demonstrate outstanding character and leadership, complete at least five semesters of high school, receive an ACT score of 27 or higher or an SAT score of 2000 or higher, earn a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale, and qualified for the degree of Superior Distinction in the NFL.
