Shipping shoes to the needy

From left: Sharlette John, Rick Ford, Barb Prestage, Keith Stidham, Rhonda Smith, Mark Dickey and Cheryl Julo schlep boxes full of shoes May 7 collected by Lee’s Summit’s three Rotary Clubs to be shipped to orphanages in the Philippines by Buckner International ministries in Texas. Together the Lee’s Summit clubs this year collected 1,548 pair of shoes and 9,506 pair of socks.
