May 14, 2014

The Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation's new donor wall is unveiled.

Education supporters celebrated the many individuals, businesses and organizations contributing to the Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation at a donor wall unveiling, held May 5. The event was attended by members of the Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation Board and R-7 Board of Education as well as district staff and citizens.

The Educational Foundation’s donor wall is located in the Stansberry Leadership Center’s lobby and entry hallway. It is designed to recognize and thank both annual donors as well as estate and general endowment donors.

In addition to the unveiling of the wall, the May 5 celebration included a video focusing on the creative process for the artistic display. Recognized at the unveiling were Foundation Board members who led a team that developed plans for the donor wall.

Also recognized was local artist Dave Eames, who designed and created the wall with the help of the Foundation team members, Lee’s Summit North High School students involved in the industrial technology program and their teacher, Cam Clover.

The Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising private funds to help support programs within the R-7 School District.

The Foundation’s mission is to generate and guide philanthropic resources to promote excellence in education within the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District.
