Lee’s Summit business owner Michelle Brunell recently was honored for outstanding business performance at the Home Instead Senior Care network’s annual international convention held in Omaha, Neb.

The Home Instead Senior Care network is the world’s leading provider of non-medical in-home care and companionship to older adults with offices worldwide including the Lee’s Summit area.

Brunell was recognized with a Hallmark I at the April 23-26 event.

The award is presented for superior sales and service satisfaction.

“I am pleased to be honored for serving this area’s older adults who represent such an important legacy to our community,” Brunell said in a statement. “We share this honor with our dedicated staff and caregivers and thank them for their tireless service.”

With more than 1,000 independently owned and operated franchises in 18 countries, including the U.S., the Home Instead Senior Care network is the world’s largest provider of non-medical in-home care and companionship services for seniors.

The network’s 65,000+ caregivers, including those in Lee’s Summit, provide more than 50 million hours of client service each year through activities that include companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, errands and shopping.
