Taurin Hughes wins Eagle award

Summit Christian Academy senior Taruin Hughes (left) was recently recognized as the school’s 2014 Eagle Award recipient. The award recognizes an outstanding senior athlete that exhibits excellence in athletics, academics and leadership. Hughes, who became SCA’s basketball career scoring leader last season, will play basketball next year at Truman State. Pictured with Hughes is SCA boys basketball coach and athletic director Jake Kates.
