A Court of Honor was held May 13 to recognize the accomplishments of Boy Scouts of Troop 663 and Varsity Scouts of Team 663 chartered to Lee’s Summit 3rd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Nearly 50 merit badges were awarded in activities from swimming to movie making. Rank advancements were achieved by over a dozen boys from Scout to Gold Palm. Of particular note five young men were awarded the rank of Life Scout, just one step away from Eagle. The unit currently has eight Life Scouts and is anticipating a significant Eagle Scout Court of Honor next Spring. In the picture are five of the current Life Scouts.
