Norman Dale Hall
Norman Dale Hall, 83, of Lee’s Summit, formerly of La Monte, Mo., passed away May 11, at John Knox Village.
He was born Dec. 29, 1930, in La Monte, Mo., the son of Norman C. and Della Mae (Brown) Hall.
He was married to his high school sweetheart Margaret J. Gregory for almost 60 years. She preceded him in death in 2009.
Norman was a graduate of La Monte High School, class of 1949. He then joined the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War as an Airman First Class. After his military career, Norman worked at Unity Village in Lee’s Summit as a printing operator. Later he worked at Armco Steel for 26 years and retired in 1993. He loved working in the garden, fishing for crappie and bass, and loved his pickup trucks. As one of the youngest of 11, annual family reunions were well-attended and always entertaining. Norman was a member of Sedalia American Legion Post No. 0642.
Norman is survived by his children, Zona Mitchell (David), Lee’s Summit, Jerry Hall, East Lynne, Mo, Debbie Schotland (Jeff), Parkville, Mo., and Pam Hall, Lee’s Summit; brothers, Dean Hall of Rushville, Mo., and Donnie Hall of Floral City, Fla.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Dick Hall, and two brothers and six sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., May 24, at the Moore Funeral Home in La Monte, Mo. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at La Monte Cemetery with full military honors.
