Summit Waves opens Memorial Weekend –May 24 at Noon

Summit Waves is ready to make a splash in the 2014 Summer Season. Opening day will at noon May 24 and the holiday weekend hours including May 26 will be noon- 7p.m. While R7 Schools are still in session (May 27-29), Summit Waves will only be open from 4 -7p.m. with $3 OFF the Single Visit Rate. The concession stand will close at 6:30 p.m. Regular operating hours of noon-7 p.m. will begin on May 30.

 

Summit Waves family aquatic center located at Jefferson Street and 50 Highway includes a 906 foot “action river,” children’s water playground, two water slides, a six lane lap pool, bath house, concession area, expansive deck area with plenty of shade structures. New this season are cabanas that can be reserved in advance or the day of attendance if available.

 

Lee’s Summit residents receive the discounted single visit rate of $7 per person. The regular single visit rate is $10 per person. Children ages three and under are free. Summit Waves season passes can be purchased for $90 or $75 for Lee’s Summit residents.

 

Summit Waves also has special rates for Kid’s Play which is exclusive use of the water playground area for kids under age 10. It is Monday-Friday, 8:30-10 a.m. beginning June 2. Rates are $2 for LS residents and $4 regular rate. Twilight Hours are Monday-Friday, 5-7p.m. with a $3 discount off of regular gate fees. The diving area will be closed the first 15 minutes of each hour during the day for “open swim.” In addition, one diving board will be closed at 5 p.m. Monday-Friday to allow for lap swimming.

 

Save the dates for Family Fun Nights which are as follows: Mondays, June 2, July 7 and Aug. 4, Saturday, July 19 and Friday, Aug. 8. They are 8:30-10:30 p.m. Gate fees are $5 per person or $4 if you are a LS resident and no charge for Summit Waves Season Pass Holders. The night features a DJ, games, giveaways and concessions.

 

Bahama Bash Teen Nights for kids ages 13-17 are June 16, June 29 and July 14 from 8:30-10:30 p.m. Fees are $7.50 per person or $6 for LS residents, parents are welcome at no charge as are teens with Season Passes.
