Explore gardens, architecture June 14 in Howard Neighborhood Historic District

The third annual GardenWalk Lee’s Summit is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 14 in the Howard Neighborhood Historic District in downtown Lee’s Summit.

The GardenWalk features gardens, ranging from funky to formal. The casual walking tour encourages people to explore the gardens, architecture and historic homes featured in downtown Lee’s Summit.

GardenWalk visitors are encouraged to park in the city’s public garage.

Tours begin anytime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., starting at 601 S.E. Miller St. (Fossil Gardens) at the corner of Sixth and Miller streets in downtown.

Tickets can be purchased at Great Southern Bank locations in Lee’s Summit, or the day of the tour at 601 S.E. Miller St. The cost is $5 per person; ages 12 and younger are free.

GardenWalk is sponsored by Great Southern Bank, and is organized by downtown homeowners, who donate the proceeds from the event to DLSMS.
