Broncos’ Bomar conference offensive player of the year

Hannah Bomar of Lee’s Summit North was selected offensive player of the year recently on the Suburban Conference Big Six all-conference girls soccer team.

Bomar, a senior forward, led the Broncos with 23 goals and was also selected as a first-team forward along with Morgan Hensley of Blue Springs and Baylie Edwards of Raymore-Peculiar.

The Broncos also had Addie Merrick chosen defensive player of the year, Bailey Doerflinger goalkeeper of the year and Ryan Kelley coach of the year. Kelley led the Broncos to a 17-6-2 record and the Class 3 District 14 championshp.

North midfielder Keelie Fothergill was also on the first team, while midfielder Makenna Taylor was selected to the second team.

Lee’s Summit midfielder Taylor Walker also made the first team. The Tigers placed forwards Jacque Sampson and Payton Seymour, midfielder Maddie Souder, defenders Sarah Hooper and Morgan Maxwell and goalkeeper Lexi Gochnauer on the second team.
