BCMS student recognized at state level for sportsmanship essay

CJ McGurk, an eighth-grader at Bernard Campbell Middle School, was recently recognized for excellence in writing for his submission to the Junior High Sportsmanship Essay Contest.

After being selected as the school winner, his essay was submitted to the Missouri State High School Activities Association district level where it was ranked best essay in the Greater Kansas City District. At the state level, CJ’s essay was recognized as one of the top five.
