A Day in the Life

June 4, 2014

The Lee’s Summit Journal spent May 30 in and around the Lee’s Summit community chronicling the daily happenings within the city. Journal staff visited close to a dozen locations in hopes of chronicling what a day in the life of Lee’s Summit residents is like. A roundup of the day will be featured in June 13’s paper. Here Jana Gaffney of Poppy’s Ice Cream and Coffee House treat sixth-grade graduates at Hazel Grove Elementary School to a free scoop of ice cream. Poppy’s visited the school May 28 in its recently refurbished ice cream truck.

Lee's Summit Journal is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
