Dennis “Butch” Williams

Dennis “Butch” Williams, 68, of Lee’s Summit passed away June 4. He was born Aug. 3, 1945 in Jackson County, Mo. He was preceded in death by a son Gary Williams and is survived by a son Greg Williams of Lee’s Summit and grand daughters Breanna Nichols, Bonner Springs, Kan. and Haley Williams of Basehor, Ks and great grandson Bentley Nichols of Bonner Springs, Kan.

Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m on June 7 at Langsford Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Lee’s Summit Cemetery.

Dennis graduated Kingsville High School and moved to Lee’s Summit where he was employed at Western Electric for 30 years and was secretary and treasurer of CWA Union. He was a member of the Ararat Shrine, Yoshi Shrine Club, Rockets Shrine Club and an active member of the Ole Cars Shrine Club. He was a past president of the Lee’s Summit Soccer Association and spent many years coaching soccer youth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
