High School film students awarded first place at Reel Spirit

Lee’s Summit High School film students RayLynn Emry-Callahan, Jaci Herron and Lauren Roberts were recently awarded first place for a narrative at Reel Spirit for their film, “Trace.”

Reel Spirit is the youth division of the Kansas City Film Festival. The film also received special recognition for exceptional cinematic achievement at the adult Kansas City Film Fest awards ceremony.

Actresses for the film included Olivia Shackelford and Tessa Shrout.
