John Knox Village opens new Village Assisted Living

June 11, 2014

John Knox Village is announcing the opening of Village Assisted Living, offering assisted living memory care.

The new community will include 25 private apartments for those with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia. Highlights of the new building include a grand foyer, spacious common areas, a 500 gallon aquarium and large apartments.

There will be a ribbon cutting and open house held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, at 1701 NW O’Brien Road.

Heather Scott, Administrator of Village Assisted Living said this is an exciting addition to care already offered at John Knox Village. “The need for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care will continue to grow in the future,” Scott said. “When we opened our second wing of memory care in 2012, we quickly saw a need for additional memory care at this level. And as John Knox Village began strategic planning for the future of the Village ...it’s exciting as the look and feel of this new community will reflect the future projects of the Village.”
