Several Summit Christian Academy elementary students recently celebrated their fathers at Kaufman Stadium as part of the awards ceremony for the National Center for Fathering essay contest.

Essay winners and runners-up were recognized during a tailgate party just prior to the June 10 Royals baseball game against the Indians. Family members and other invited guests listened as first place winners shared their essays on, “What my Father Means to me.”
