Campbell Middle School outdoor classroom receives facelift

June 25, 2014

Bernard Campbell Middle School’s outdoor classroom received a much-needed facelift thanks to Boy Scout Troop 255.

As part of his final Eagle Scout service project, Luke Eaton decided to tackle the task of cleaning up the outdoor space. Luke worked with his troop to arrange for mulch to be donated from the City of Lee’s Summit, solicit technical advice from local nurseries, build a team of volunteers and coordinate the project.

Businesses and individuals contributing to the project included the City of Lee’s Summit Department of Public Works, Josh Keller of Keller’s Landscaping as well as Brad Eaton, Dayla Eaton and Heidi Epps who helped supervise the project.

Lee's Summit Journal is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point.
