Brief power outage affects thousands in Lee’s Summit

June 25, 2014

A brief power outage left roughly 6,700 Kansas City Power and Light customers in Lee’s Summit in the dark.

According to Rebecca Galati, a spokeswoman for KCP&L, the nearly hour-long outage began at 11:10 a.m. June 20, but power was restored by 12:15 p.m.

Galati told the Journal the cause of the power outage is unknown.
