I recently had the opportunity to learn about the character of Rebecca Roeber, 34th District State Representative candidate. I have been seeing several large 4-foot-by-8-foot signs in single family residential areas. Most of them are Roeber’s. The City Code allows a maximum size sign of 2-foot-by-3-foot in single family residential zoned areas. If these areas aren’t zoned single family then I don’t know what they would be, as single family homes is all that can be seen as far as the eye can see.
So I told Roeber this by Facebook comment on her campaign page. I was expecting a response along the lines of “Oh, where are they? I’ll look into that.” Instead, she deleted my comments, blocked me from viewing her posts about the signs of which she is so proud, and blocked me from her and her husband’s personal Facebook pages. My comments were in no way threatening, directly or implied.
So this is how she responds to criticism? This is how she responds to her constituents’ concerns? She didn’t even ask me which signs I meant. Her actions speak that she is going to do whatever she wants, where she wants, without regard to the city code and dismiss or hide from anyone who objects. It does not appear that she any qualities needed for public service.
Honestly, not much motivates me to get to the polls and vote anymore but I must say she has done that. I will be going to vote for anyone else.
