Lee’s Summit West grad starts residency program

Kara Connelly, 2008 graduate of Lee’s Summit West High School, recently received her doctorate of pharmacy degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla., where she was also awarded her doctorate hood.

Connelly, who graduated Magna Cum Laude, was also named as the 2014 Outstanding Graduate of her class. She has also been named to the 2014 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. It is one of the biggest academic honors on campus due to being selected from among some 900 seniors.

Connelly started a residency program at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., July 1.
