The Lee’s Summit West High School football team recently designed a mini-camp to provide a positive experience for students in the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District extended year program, while introducing the fundamentals of the game of football and playing for the love of the game.

The Titan players worked directly with the students to teach basic skills and cheer them on. The students participated in warm-up exercises, kicking, passing, catching and agility drills. In addition, the students dressed out in pads and helmets and huddled with the players to do the breakdown.

The highlight for many students was receiving a Titans football at the conclusion of the camp.
