Maryn White crowned Miss Missouri Jr. Teen

Maryn White, a student at Summit Lakes Middle School and daughter of Mark and Marla White of Lee’s Summit, was recently crowned the National American Miss Missouri Jr. Teen for 2014-2015.

Maryn competed with 153 other 13-15-year-old females from across Missouri in formal wear, interview, and personal introduction. She also won the spokes model competition where she delivered a speech, best resume, and photogenic. She received $1,600 in scholarship dollars. Participating in her first pageant, Maryn will attend a national pageant this fall in Anaheim, Calif.

The National American Miss Pageants are dedicated to celebrating and encouraging future leaders. Each year, the pageants award more than $1.5 million dollars in cash, scholarships, and prizes. National American Miss strives to develop successful young women across our nation with a program that is designed to be age-appropriate and family-oriented. Pageants are held in each state for girls ages four to eighteen in five different age categories.
