Summit Christian Academy recently announced that alumnus Steven Eric Santon graduated from West Point Military Academy in May.
Steven, a 2010 graduate of SCA, served as the class of 2014 Secretary at West Point and was the runner-up for the Coach K award. The award, named in honor of Duke University’s Coach K and 1969 West Point graduate Mike Krzyzewski, recognizes West Point athletes and coaches for their outstanding commitment to the development of noble character through athletic participation and leadership.
During his tenure at West Point, Steven concentrated his studies in Human Geography and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Field Artillery branch. He will report to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, for his first assignment.
The U.S. Military Academy is a four-year co-educational federal undergraduate liberal arts college and was founded in 1802 as America’s first college of engineering. A leader development institution, West Point purports its mission to be to educate, train, and inspire cadets for careers in professional service to the Army and the nation.
