The Prairie Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently elected new officers who will lead the chapter for the next two years.

Chaplain: Cheryl Compton

Registrar: Lucille Lamb

Corresponding Secretary: Jan Vinyard

Historian: Mary Dobson

Librarian: Brynne Krause

Prairie Chapter was designated the “Outstanding Chapter” in Missouri at the 2014 MSSDAR State Conference, and is active in supporting the Greater Kansas City Honor Flight program. Prairie Chapter recently sponsored a genealogy workshop and plans to provide informational displays about Constitution Week in September at the two Mid-Continent Library branches in Lee’s Summit, as well as the Northern Resource Center in Belton, a branch of the Cass County Public Library.
