Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers in Lee’s Summit recently announced new additions to their late-summer menu.
Hatch green chile double steakburgers and an all-new funnel cake sundae are both now up for serve at Freddy’s through September 10.
The Hatch green chile double steakburger debuted on the Freddy’s menu last summer and features steakburger patties topped with New Mexico Hatch green chiles, grilled onions, cheese, and mustard, placed on a butter-toasted bun. The Hatch chiles are also available on any Freddy’s hotdogs.
New this year to Freddy’s menu is its funnel cake sundae, a scoop of vanilla frozen custard on a warm funnel cake topped with powdered sugar and strawberries.
The Wichita, Kan.-based chain opened earlier this year at 194 N.W. Oldham Parkway in Lee’s Summit. Freddy’s sits on the site of the now demolished Waid’s Restaurant, a long-time favorite in years past for city residents.
