Jacomo Chorale looking for new members

August 12, 2014

As it begins its 31st year, the Jacomo Chorale and its director, Helena Vasconcellos, are seeking new members.

The community chorale presents at least three concerts yearly, and its repertoire spans classical works to contemporary music.

The chorale will begin rehearsals at 7 p.m. Aug. 21 at Nativity of Mary Parish, 10017 E. 36th Terrace in Independence.

No formal auditions are reqiured. Instead, prospective singers will go through a process of voice placement. Regardless of skill level, they will be invited to the first rehearsal to get an idea of expectations and the pace of practices.
