SCA athletes place in national Junior Olympics track meet

August 19, 2014

Summit Christian Academy eight grade students Lenetta Lee and Isaiah Vigliano recently competed at the Amateur Athletic Union National Junior Olympics Games in Des Moines, Iowa.

Lee’s repeat appearance at the games this year did not disappoint and resulted in an impressive national standings in all three of her events. She placed 15th in the 100-meter dash, ninth in the 200-meter dash and 10th in the long jump.

Vigliano, who was competing in his first national meet, finished 56th in the 200 meters and 28th in the 400 meters.

“We are very proud of what Lenetta and Isaiah were able to accomplish on the national stage,” SCA assistant track and field coach Christie Queen said. “We are looking forward to the coming season.”
