‘Petting Zoo’ introduces kids to musical instruments

The Kansas City Symphony recently brought an instrumental “petting zoo” to fourth-grade students at Summit Christian Academy.

The symphony’s education director, Margaret Halloin, explained each instrument and gave a demonstration. Afterward, students tried out a variety of instruments.
