NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 214.209 RSMo., that seventy-five (75) years or more have passed since the last recorded activity on the burial sites described herein, which are located in the City Cemetery of the City of Lee’s Summit, Jackson County, Missouri and that following a reasonable search for owners, heirs, beneficiaries, grantees or successors the burial sites will be deemed abandoned and the right of ownership shall revert to the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, unless you, within one year of the last date of publication of this Notice, file in the office of the City Clerk, 220 SE Green Street, Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64063, a statement in writing explaining how your rights in any of the burial sites were acquired and expressing your desire to assert such rights in the burial sites. In the event you fail to respond to this Notice as provided herein, you will be deemed to have abandoned your rights and claims in the burial sites and ownership of the burial sites will revert to the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, free and clear of any right, title or interest of you or your heirs, beneficiaries, grantees, successors, administrators, trustees, legatees, devisees or assigns.
