Ruth Young Trice, 104, died Jan. 28, 2012 at her residence in the John Knox Village Care Center. Ruth was born Aug.31, 1907 in Kingman County, Kan. to S.E. and Matilda Young. She had two brothers, Ralph and Forrest who have preceded her in death.
Nadine E. Gutridge, 89, of Lee’s Summit passed away Jan. 27, 2012 at St. Luke’s East - Lee’s Summit.
Maurice G. Richey II, “Big Pete”, Pleasant Hill, passed away Jan. 21 at home. He was born May 14, 1964. Maurice is survived by his loving wife, soul mate and best friend, Debbie Richey, daughter Melissa Coday of Creighton, grandson, Michael Moore who attends Midwest University, granddaughters; Michelle, 16, who resided by his side and Madison, Also, mother, Joan Richey, Lee’s Summit, father, Maurice Richey and wife Ruth, Kingsville. He also had one brother and three sisters. He was a man of all trades, he never met a stranger. No memorial will be held. On Feb. 4 there will be a remembrance gathering of friends and family in Pleasant Hill. Donations are welcome for the family.
